The full form of REAP is Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process conducted every year by Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan. REAP is a process to provide admissions to candidates in various government and private Engineering colleges of Rajasthan for B.Arch. Courses.
Earlier, Rajasthan Pre-Engineering Test (RPET) and was conducted to give admission in various UG courses in Engineering and Architecture course. But now, candidates will get admission by score obtained in JEE Main Exam and NATA Exam and 12th class merit.
Candidates, who want to get admission in various govt. And private technical colleges and institutions of Rajasthan state, have to go through REAP i.e. Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process.
REAP Application Form 2017 will be released in the month of June or July 2017 and counseling will start in the month of July 2017. Candidates can send the application form via online mode i.e. from official website i.e. www.techedu.rajasthan.gov.in.

What is REAP????? Some candidates may be confused about what is REAP!!!! Let us clear your confusion. Earlier, the Technical Education Board, Jodhpur used to conduct Rajasthan Pre-Engineering Test (RPET) for giving admission to B.Tech and B.Arch. Courses in various colleges and technical institutes of Rajasthan.
But now, the board has decided not to conduct this exam for admission. Rather admission will be provided by Marks obtained in the JEE Main Exam or NATA, and Marks obtained in the 12th class. That is why the board has decided a process to give admission in engineering courses in Rajasthan and that admission process is named as REAP i.e. Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process.
First of all, applications will be invited from eligible candidates. After the closure of registration of the application, the board will prepare merit list by marks obtained in 12th class and JEE Main Exam/NATA Exam and shortlisted candidates will be eligible for counseling. Finally, seats will be allotted after counseling.

The detail of terms and conditions required for applying for REAP 2017 is given below:
- Applicant must be an Indian Citizen and should hold the domicile certificate of Rajasthan.
- Candidate must be born on or after 1st October 1992. Five years age relaxation will be provided for reserved category candidates. DOB mentioned in the 10th class certificate will be valid.
- Candidates must have passed 12th class from recognized board with Physics, Maths, Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Computer Science as subjects as per the choice of the stream of engineering.
- Candidate should secure at least 45% marks in 12th class(40% in case of SC/ST/ NonCreamy Layer OBC/ NonCreamy Layer “SBC” of Rajasthan state)
- Candidates must have valid score card of JEE Main 2016 or NATA 2016 in the case of B.Arch.
Candidates have to pay application fee of Rs. 400/-. Application fee can be paid by e-Mitra/CSC kiosk center authorized by the Government of Rajasthan. Extra Rs. Ten/- will be charged as e-Mitra service charges.
How to Apply for REAP Application Form
Candidates can fill the REAP Application Form 2017 via online mode only. For this candidates, have to visit the official website of the Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan i.e. www.techedu.rajasthan.gov.in. After that, search for the link to the Application form for REAP 2017.
Fill all the required information like personal detail, educational detail, e-mail id, etc.Candidates will also require filling the score obtained in JEE Main or NATA 2016 and 12th class marks.
Upload the scanned photo, signature, and documents, etc. if asked. After that, Make payment of application fee and fill the fee payment detail in the application form. Click Submit after checking the filled application form. Take the printout of it for future use.
Reservation of Seats:
Some seats are reserved for different category candidates as per the rules of Rajasthan state government. The detail is given below:
- Women Category: 25%
- OBC-NCL Candidates: 21%
- SC Candidates: 16%
- ST Candidates: 12%
- PwD Candidates: 3%
- Dependents of Defence Killed/Ex-servicemen / Gallantry award winner: 3%
- NCL-SBC Candidates: 1%
Counseling and Admission Process
After the closure of registration of application form, the board will issue two merit lists. One will base on the marks of JEE Main, or NATA, and the other merit list will base on marks obtained in 12th class. After issuing merit list, candidates will have to register for counseling.
At the time of registration for counseling, candidates will choose the option for being shortlisted i.e. on the basis Percentage in 12th class or on the basis of JEE Main or NATA. 50% seats will be allotted by JEE Main and 50% seats will allotted by 12th class percentage. Candidates will also choose the course and college for admission.
The counseling fee will Rs. 11000/- to be paid in the form of demand draft drawn for Coordinator, REAP-2017, payable at Jodhpur. Admission will be done strictly on the basis of candidate’s merit and college selected. After the allotment of seats, candidates will have to report at the allotted institute within the specified time. Document verification will consider by the allotted institute or college for admission.
